Celebrating the legacies

The National Lottery Heritage Fund, through its support for Inspire to Achieve, has created a platform for former players who were born and raised in Brent to tell their stories. Through first-hand accounts, featured players give an in-depth look into their family roots and background like never before, to understand how personal and family circumstances fed their success. By bringing their stories and shared experiences back to Brent, players are inviting young people to follow in their footsteps, so strive for success, and believe that anything is possible.

Inspire to Achieve puts storytelling at the heart of inspiration. Through multi-form content comprising oral histories, art exhibitions, trainings, digital case studies, and real-time visits back to schools and venues of significance, young people benefit from all that experiential learning has to offer.

Connor’s place as a heritage mentor is well deserved and he has been afforded the opportunity of  watching several games at Wembley Stadium, meeting Geoff Hurst and taking his family to picnic at the stadium.
