THE HERITAGE PROJECT

With an intergenerational and interactive approach, the project delivers exhibitions, memory cafes, site visits and oral histories—led by local young people receiving journalism, media, and production skills training—designed to bring to life the challenges, triumphs, and lesser known personal experiences of the Borough’s most famed footballers, including Brian, Edwin, and Mark Stein, Cyrille Regis MBE, Eartha Pond, Jason Roberts, Luther Blissett, Rachel Yankey, and Ricky Hill amongst others.

THE WORK WE DO

Inspire to Achieve brings cultural heritage to new generations through the accessible themes of football and sport, while creating learning and development opportunities through co-curation for disadvantaged young people.

Through the project, the Jason Roberts Foundation is teaming up with the University Campus of Football Business (UCFB), local mainstream and SEND schools, youth and community organisations, and local housing associations to provide skills development opportunities in research, journalism, recording, and production to present narratives through a range of mixed media — all with football legends as their subjects.
