BRIDGESTONE ARENA
Home to the Jason Roberts Foundation since its launch in 2007, Bridgestone Arena is a community hub for residents of Brent and surrounding boroughs. Located in Stonebridge, in the western part of Harlesden, Bridgestone Arena — or Stonebridge Recreation Ground as it was formerly known — was named after the Stonebridge Estate, widely known as the childhood home of football icons Cyrille Regis MBE and Jason Roberts.
The venue, and vast array of community services delivered by the Foundation are a central component of Brent’s social infrastructure, bringing together members of the community from all cultures, generations, and walks of life.
Community First
Bridgestone Arena is more than a sports facility. In fact, in the last year alone, the Jason Roberts Foundation opened its doors to the community for workshops, training, information sessions, and inspirational talks in the areas of sustainability, climate change and action, mental health and wellbeing, youth vaccination, first aid, careers, Brent heritage, elder support, diabetes awareness, sports coaching, and local council insights. This, in addition to the impressive and growing lists of sports and physical activities on offer — basketball boxing, football, golf, and tennis to name just a few — make Jason Roberts Foundation uniquely positioned to foster inclusion across the borough.
As part of the Inspire to Achieve Heritage Project, the Bridgestone Arena will transform into the go-to destination for Brent heritage — uncovering the histories of footballers who paved the way in the London Borough of Brent.
