OVERVIEW

King Edward VII Park was opened to the public on 4 July 1914. The land which has become the park was purchased by the Council in memory of the late king and to replace the loss of Wembley Park as an open space.

Today the park has soccer fields, 7 a side pitches, bowling greens, multi-use games areas (MUGAs) and mini soccer pitches as well as tennis courts and playground.

Local parks are an important part of our community and it is where players of the past honed their skills and fell in love with the game.
